About The Artist
Artist's Statement
Rooted in the rich lore of high fantasy and myth, my work invites viewers to embark on journeys through realms where shadows hold secrets, and courage is often the key to triumph. Every piece is a portal to another world—a stolen glance between a warrior and a mage, the quiet strength of a ranger under the moon’s glow, or the shimmering halls of a forgotten elven kingdom. I hope my art resonates with those who find solace in the heroic, the romantic, and the mystical.
Since childhood, my heart has been captivated by The Lord of the Rings and the enchanting worlds of high fantasy games and films. My artistic journey is deeply inspired by the Old Masters—John Singer Sargent, Joaquín Sorolla, Rembrandt van Rijn, Alphonse Mucha, Gustav Klimt and the romantic visionaries of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood—whose mastery of light, emotion, and brushstrokes I admire endlessly, alongside the contemporary genius of Annie Stegg Gerard.
My dream is that my art becomes more than an image—it becomes a world you long to explore, a story you wish to tell, and a memory that lingers in your heart.
Packaging & Materials
I try to use sustainable packaging as much as possible. That is why I use glassine paper instead of plastic for prints and stickers. In case I have no access to glassine and am forced to switch to plastic, I use 100% compostable cellophane bags. If available, I always use recycled tissue paper rather than brand-new tissue.
.
Due to GPSR, some parts of the packaging information and labels might seem excessive, but they are required by law to improve traceability of products and recalls.
.
In 2025, I switched from "Fragile" tape to handmade rubber stamps to mark small packages. I use paper tape for packaging, with the only exception being if I need to use a stronger one for large/heavy boxes. Almost all of the filling material I use is upcycled (each time I receive a package, I keep the packaging material to reuse).
.
All paper and inks are purchased from reputable companies who are leaders in the fine art print industry, which helps ensure the safety and longevity of the products: Epson Sustainability and Hahnemühle Digital Papers.
.
All prints and posters are printed by me in my studio in The Netherlands. This allows me to have the highest control over color reproduction and materials used, as well as produce only small batches of products, reducing the risk of waste and long-term storage.
.
In 2025, I will reduce vinyl stickers and switch to fully recyclable paper stickers. Even though it increases production costs and shortens the sticker lifespan, I believe it’s the better path forward. I also plan to buy equipment to produce them myself, eventually having stricter control over materials and quantities. However, some designs will still be available as vinyl due to technical limitations, for example, holographic stickers.
.
I am also going to stop selling laminated postcards and instead switch to made-to-order small art prints. If I find more eco-friendly options for postcards that still maintain the sturdiness of laminated ones, I will consider returning to them.
.
Though all of the above may raise prices, it aligns with my values, and I believe most of my customers appreciate the attention to the environment and quality. I also try to introduce more budget-friendly versions of products, but I never compromise on quality and sustainability. I believe each small step matters.
